Launching ‘Help to Grow: Management Essentials’ to Empower Small Business Leaders

Seven Hills co-founder and Chair of the Small Business Charter, Michael Hayman MBE DL was at ExCel yesterday for SMExpo, to launch Help to Grow: Management Essentials, a new online training course for small business leaders.

After opening remarks from Small Business Minister, Kevin Hollinrake MP, reflecting on the vital role of SMEs in the UK economy, Michael and the Minister were joined for a panel discussion by Byron Dixon OBE, CEO and Founder of Micro-Fresh, Emma Jones CBE, Founder of Enterprise Nation, and Ian O’Donnell, Non-Executive Director at the Federation of Small Businesses, to look at the impact the new course will have on helping business leaders succeed, by breaking down cultural and financial barriers to growth.

The short course is a free introductory version of the full Help to Grow: Management course, accessible to anyone who is running a business or simply interested in doing so. The Minister described the course as a means to “help anyone take those first steps down the road of the exciting journey of business”, saying: “it’s easy to speak to a few large businesses, but we want to talk to millions and millions of small businesses. The is what Help to Grow: Management Essentials can do – because it’s for anyone.”
